NA.TUR.ARTE: An Immersive Tourist Experience Between Art and Nature in Dossena and Roncobello

Dossena and Roncobello, two enchanting municipalities in the Brembana Valley, are about to become the protagonists of an innovative project combining art and nature in a unique tourist experience. The project, called NA.TUR.ARTE, aims to transform the area into a cutting-edge cultural and tourist hub, thanks to the integration of advanced technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality. Discover how NA.TUR.ARTE is revolutionising the tourist experience in Val Brembana and how you can experience it!

The NA.TUR.ARTE Project: A Bridge Between Nature and Art

Officially presented on 25th October 2024, NA.TUR.ARTE is the result of a collaboration between the municipalities of Dossena and Roncobello, with the support of local realities and cultural institutions such as GAMeC, Bergamo Polytechnic of the Arts, Orobie Bergamasche Park, Menna Ortighera Forestry Consortium, and VisitDossena. The project is financed by the Ministry of Tourism, as part of the ‘Small municipalities with a vocation for tourism’ call for proposals, with the aim of promoting sustainable and innovative tourism.

Immersion in Nature: A Multimedia Art Route

The heart of the project is the creation of artistic and multimedia trails that will allow visitors to explore the mountain landscape through a unique fusion of nature and art. Using modern technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality, visitors will be able to interact with works of art and discover immersive narratives that will enrich their experience of the area.

These routes focus on the Val Parina Wilderness area, an unspoilt corner of the Val Brembana that will become the ideal stage for innovative and engaging tourism experiences. Thanks to the synergy between the various local players, the NA.TUR.ARTE project not only promotes culture and art, but also enhances the area’s natural environment, creating a profound link between the beauty of the landscape and artistic beauty.

Sustainable and Innovative Tourism

With NA.TUR.ARTE, Dossena and Roncobello aim to become leaders in sustainable tourism, offering tourists the opportunity to immerse themselves in interactive experiences that combine culture, technological innovation and nature. The project, which runs from October 2024 to December 2025, includes 11 interventions ranging from the enhancement of hiking trails to the realisation of cultural events, with the aim of attracting a public of all ages and backgrounds.

A Cultural Offer for Everybody

In addition to the artistic routes, the project also provides for a series of cultural exhibitions and events that will promote creativity and sustainability in the area. These events will be organised not only in the municipalities of Dossena and Roncobello, but will have a positive effect on the entire Brembana Valley, also involving local residents. In particular, GAMeC will contribute with educational programmes for schools, with routes that stimulate reflection on themes such as sustainability, conscious management of resources and respect for the environment.

An Interactive Experience between Technology and Nature

The involvement of innovative technologies, such as gaming, artificial intelligence and immersive installations, is one of the most distinctive aspects of NA.TUR.ARTE. In particular, the project envisages the creation of unique experiences for visitors to the Dossena mines, where art and technology meet to create an interactive experience that has no precedent in Italy.
