Tricolour Mine

On the occasion of the 2017 provincial meeting and the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Infantrymen section of Dossena, the Associazione Miniere (Mines Association) is waiting for you for a great event: two open days to discover the mines in relation to the war periods of Italian history. On Saturday 16th September, members of the Associazione Miniere will be waiting for you from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the mining site for guided tours, and at 3 p.m. at the municipal gymnasium for the inauguration of the exhibition dedicated to the ‘Centenary of the Great War’, as well as for a visit to the mining museum recently opened to the public.

On Sunday, 17th September, there will again be an extraordinary opening of the museum from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with guided tours of the mine. For the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the Dossena Infantryman’s Section, founded in 1983 – 84 from an idea of infantrymen Roberto Settimo Bianzina and Giacomo Cav. Spini, from 16th to 27th September, Dossena will be animated with a series of events and demonstrations to celebrate all infantrymen and fallen soldiers. Lectures by Gianmario Tiraboschi, a procession to the war memorial and convivial get-together at the Miramonti restaurant.
